Production and consumption without waste are impossible. However, we can reach a high degree of resource efficiency and environmental protection by modern waste management. Therefore, a systematic approach, the consideration of the whole value added chain, consequent circulation of matter and energy as well as technological innovations are required.
Using „waste as a resource“ without uncontrolled release of contaminants is one of the challenges for environmental engineers.
Together with our partners we conduct numerous research projects dealing with material and energy recovery as well as environmentally friendly waste treatment. Environmental engineers with their wholistic mind and technological knowledge, which are educated at the Montanuniversität, are well equipped for these tasks.
This website shows which fields of teaching and research are offered at our chair AVAW. I wish you joy and information.
